Everyday Object Materials

Glass is generally an FCC with a tetrahedron cell structure. This ceramic has many usages and can be made into windows, lenses, and beakers.

Wood is a biological composite material with many pores. It is organic and contains cellulose fibers and lignin. It is used in the construction of houses, furniture, and household appliances.

The rope is a composite material made of natural fiber and can be used in clothing, tarps, and textiles.

Cotton is an organic biological material. The composite material is made of stable fiber of cellulose and is used mainly in clothing.

The polyurethane synthetic material is a polymer/ plastic. The organic compound has a tetrakaidecahedra crystal structure:

It can be used in surfboards, wall coatings, and shower curtains.

EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) foam is a polymer with closed cell foam structure where each pore in the cell is completely enclosed:

EVA is also used in car seats, shock absorbent pads, and packaging foam.
